19 weeks and 4 days

This iconic event is a challenging Ultra distance of 57.4km and the shorter distance of 28.7km, through some of the best rainforest in North Queensland, traversing through the Conway National Park via the Conway Circuit. Both events end their journey at the Airlie Beach Lagoon.

The trail has some steep ascents and descents, and varying track surfaces. This event is not a walking event so, for those new to trail running, add a further 50% to your best 25km flat road run or 50km road race times. Prepare to be challenged but rewarded, and you will enjoy the journey. DO train on varying tracks and trails in the months leading up to the event.
