NSW > Woodford to Glenbrook ClassicParticipants once again have the opportunity to run or cycle through scenic bushland in the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park, raising money for Careflight in the process.
Registrations are now open for the annual Woodford to Glenbrook Classic, the event to take place on 26 June 2016. Teams and individuals are welcome to enter.
Covering 25km of undulating bushland, the scenic Oaks Fire Trail runs from the town of Woodford to the Euroka Clearing near Glenbrook.
The event will finish with a community fair-style reception in the beautiful Euroka Clearing.
“The event is a must for keen mountain bikers and trail runners but all are welcome to join in the fun, with activities for the kids, food stalls and displays throughout the day,” said CareFlight Community & Engagement Co-ordinator, John Ebbott.
“Participants of all ages are encouraged to enter. You don’t have to be a professional athlete to enter - everyone is invited to join,” said Mr Ebbott.
Participants are supported the full length of the track by Rural Fire Service crews stationed along the way, providing first aid and drinks. A CareFlight doctor and St John Ambulance volunteers will also be in support.
