Queensland > Sunshine Coast > Murgon Rail Trail Festival & MarathonSet in the stunning surrounds of the South Burnett Region, the Murgon Marathon is incorporated into the Murgon Rail Trail Festival and offers events for walkers and runners and also has duathlon and team relay events.
The route takes participants along the South Burnett Rail Trail, along out and back routes starting at the Murgon trail head. The section has a bitumen cover and offers a superb running surface for both running and riding while retaining the benefits of a typical trail environment. It's flat by no means and will be very fast for some while others can simply take their time and soak up the atmosphere.
