Queensland > Sunshine Coast > Race the RooThis race is for runners of all abilities, from park-runners to elite athletes. The goal is to finish as many laps as you can, ahead of the Roo. Each lap is just over 1km and everyone starts each lap together with the Roo, with a short rest between each lap. The Roo is slow to warm up, with the initial pace leisurely, but each lap gets progressively faster, eventually challenging even the fastest and best endurance runners. All YOU have to do is finish ahead of the ROO on each lap to stay in the event. You are eliminated if the Roo finishes ahead of you.
The distance you run depends on you, your stamina, your speed, AND your race strategy! Your race result is the number of complete laps you finish ahead of the Roo.
Overall winners are the last male and female remaining, but in addition, there are intermittent fun prizes and giveaways. Every entrant receives a medal and a Race the Roo visor.
