Queensland > Run with Dad ToowoombaThroughout Australia, thousands have flocked to take part in the fun run and pay tribute to the men in our lives. All money raised helps tackle prostate cancer and most importantly, raise awareness about prostate cancer and the importance of men’s health.
Father’s Day provides the perfect opportunity to run or walk with Dad, family or friends, reminding them of their significance in our lives and the importance of their health and wellbeing. It is a day aimed at paying tribute to all the men in our lives, not just fathers!
You don’t have to be an elite athlete to participate. The event offers a 2.5km and 5km run and we encourage families to walk or run with their kids!
The first Toowoomba fun run commenced in 2018 replacing Run Ride Race 4 research and has since raised an incredible $42,500 with the amazing support of the local Toowoomba community.
For this year’s charity fun run, we are aiming to exceed previous years and not only raise much needed funds for a great cause, but to get more of our community involved to help create awareness for prostate cancer and men’s health.
All proceeds from this event will go towards the It’s A Bloke Thing Foundation, with funds invested in programs planned to benefit the men living in the Darling Downs affected by prostate cancer.
