Victoria > Melbourne > Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the KidsThe Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids is an inclusive, family-friendly community event with its primary aim to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Beginning in 2006, the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids has grown to be one of Victoria’s favourite mass-participation fun runs/walks with participants having the opportunity to participate in a unique course for a great cause.
The event is proud of its position as one of the single biggest fundraising contributors for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. To date the event has raised over $19 million dollars for the Appeal.
Run for the Kids offers entrants two course distance options - 14.5km and 4.6km. The event starts and finishes in the Docklands precinct with all participants given the once-a-year opportunity to run or walk over the Bolte Bridge. The long course also goes through the Domain Tunnel.
