Running Events > Queensland > 64km Kuranda to Port Douglas Ultra Trail race and relay

This 64km point-to-point race is incorporated in the Mowbray National Park within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Teams of 2-4 runners can also complete the full course. It starts just off Kennedy Highway in Kuranda and follows Black Mountain Road through native rainforest, open eucalyptus forest, pine plantations and over picturesque creeks. There is a shorter 16km race on the same day, starting at the top of the Bump on Black Mountain Road. The finish is on Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas. The tropical rainforest is home to the endangered southern cassowary, a flightless bird that can grow to two metres in height - you might see one! Early Bird entries end at 9.00pm on 25 May. Late Fees apply from 31 July. Registrations close 9.00pm, 7 August. Visit our website http://www.dynamicrunning.com.au for details and updates.
