Queensland > Brisbane > Maximum Adventure Race Series - BrisbaneThe Brisbane Max Adventure Race is located only a stone’s throw from the CBD of Brisbane at Enoggera Reservoir, The Gap and offers everything an adventure racer could hope for. This stunning heritage listed area is a haven for outdoor activities including open water swimming, paddling and much more which makes this event a family friendly day out.
The Classic course features some fast mountain biking around the outside of the Reservoir, with a few short steep climbs included to keep your heart rate up. The trail running along the water’s edge is nice and flat, with water views around every corner. The Classic Course includes approximately 15-25km of mountain biking, 5-10km of trail running and 2-4km of kayaking and will take most teams 3-6 hours to complete.
If you are new to the sport, or just don’t feel like doing the extra distance that comes with the Classic course, then the Novice course is for you. The Novice course takes in the best aspects of the Classic course but not quite as many hills! Riding and running alongside the Reservoir and hitting the water for a cooling paddle. The Novice Course consists of approximately 5-15km of mountain biking, 3-5km of trail running and 1-2km of kayaking. Novice teams generally finish in 2-4 hours.
Enoggera Reservoir really is an ideal location for a real weekend adventure for teams in the Brisbane area or those travelling up from the Gold Coast or down from the Sunshine Coast. We’ve got you covered with kayaks provided for all courses and bike hire available if required.
