NSW > Summit ShoalhavenSummit Shoalhaven aka King of the Mountain
It’s hard to keep a great icon hidden, so the team from Elite Energy thought it was time to relaunch and revamp one of Australia’s most iconic off-road trail events, the Shoalhaven King of the Mountain.
Established in 1966 by a small team of local running enthusiasts from the Nowra Athletics Club, this iconic event has seen thousands of runners make the journey up Mount Scanzi to finish in the Kangaroo Valley. In 2022, 56 years after the first KOM, we will again run this course as Summit Shoalhaven.
We’ve adjusted some the original courses to enable the event to be held while keep COVID-19 transmission risks to a minimum. The new event will incorporate a 55km, 40km, 23km and 13km events catering for the full spectrum of runners from elite to the weekend warrior.
